For the design of this kindergarten outdoor playground, we chose a space and planetary adventure theme, incorporating modern technology elements. The goal is to allow children to experience joy while playing and to inspire dreams of space exploration. The original terrain was flat with minimal elevation changes, so the design breaks away from the original layout by introducing streamlined design elements. In terms of color scheme, the main colors were chosen to reflect the dreamy hues of the starry sky—primarily blue, with accents of bright colors like purple and orange to enhance overall brightness. Green, derived mainly from plants, serves as an auxiliary color. These color choices align with the theme, offering children an immersive experience.
The kindergarten outdoor playground is divided into six functional areas, each designed based on an adventure planet, creating distinct zones, each with its own planet theme and unique play activities. The first adventure planet is the Sensory Integration Expansion Planet, which features sensory integration and expansion areas, including agility expansion equipment, sensory ladybug equipment, a music house, and puzzle panels. The second adventure planet is the Orbital Planet, which is a microtopography area with sensory paths, stainless steel slides, outdoor trampolines, microtopography equipment, and other expansion facilities. The third is the Planetary Crossing Adventure theme, the main play equipment area, featuring a large spaceship and rocket-themed playground with aerospace technology elements, along with some rocking horses designed to resemble aircraft. The fourth planet theme is the Ocean and Desert Adventure, which is the sand and water play area. Additionally, the playground has a Sports Exploration Planet theme for the sports field and a Plant Planet theme for the planting area.
