The Canada Benson Kindergarten follows the Reggio Emilia approach, focusing on children's free development. It provides various "expressive, communicative, and cognitive languages" for children to actively learn and has created an open, collaborative space. Compared to indoor play areas, outdoor play areas for children better unleash their natural instincts, making the integration of natural elements into outdoor play areas a perfect fit.
The outdoor play area at the kindergarten is not only a place for children's entertainment but also an educational playground. Therefore, we have incorporated knowledge related to geography, music, cooking, and nature into the design of the outdoor play area. For example, children can learn about microtopography in the Micro-Fault Perception System area and about pitch in the Music Perception System area.
This play area is designed with a Robinho theme and is suitable for children aged 2 to 6. It includes six functional areas: a treehouse playground, a mud kitchen, a seesaw, a sandbox, a Micro-Fault Perception System, and a Music Perception System.
