At Cowboy Group, we believe the best play cafe design concepts tell a story. When a London-based family came to us with a dream—to open a warm, welcoming play café for children aged 0-7—we didn’t just manufacture equipment. We became partners in bringing their vision to life.
Our customer had a clear image for their play cafe in mind: a safe, vibrant space centered around a cycling track where toddlers could zoom and explore. They wanted a "play island" that felt open yet intimate, allowing parents to relax while keeping children in sight. Their brand identity—a charming cupcake and kangaroo logo—became the creative heartbeat of the entire project.

Located on the first floor of a multi-level venue in London, this 120㎡ project required seamless integration with an existing café space below and a party area above. Our mission was to design a cohesive environment that flowed naturally while maximizing every square meter for fun.
We believe that great play cafe design sparks imagination. Here’s how we brought the magic to life:
The Main Play Structure: A custom wooden climbing frame invites children to explore at their own pace. Featuring a spiral slide, a soft open slide, and multiple climbing platforms, it encourages physical play in a safe, structured environment.
The Cupcake Centerpiece: Inspired by the client’s love for sweetness and joy, we designed a cupcake-shaped soft-play house. It serves as a central hub, connecting different play levels and giving children a cozy lookout spot.
The Role-Play Village: One of the most beloved features in this play cafe design is the interactive village, complete with four themed playhouses: a restaurant, a supermarket, a hospital, and a dressing room. Children move from house to house via a rope bridge, immersing themselves in storytelling and social play.
Baby’s First Adventures: The baby zone is a soft, sensory-rich retreat. A Christmas tree-shaped structure invites gentle exploration, while a kangaroo-themed slide—a direct nod to the client’s logo—provides a safe transition for little ones ready to venture into bigger play areas.
The Cycling Track: Encircling the baby zone, a circular track allows children to ride, race, and develop motor skills in a dynamic, movement-based environment.
We never forget that a play café is for parents, too. Near the entrance, we created a calm, comfortable lounge area with custom seating in the client’s brand colors. It’s a space where adults can connect, recharge, and still feel fully present in their child’s adventure.
