This project is the activity room for Jeddah AGS Girls School in Saudi Arabia. The internal space of the activity room covers an area of 350m², with a fan-shaped layout and an interior usable height of 10.9 meters. The curved wall features a full row of windows and doors, providing excellent natural lighting. The school aims to create a nature-themed, fantasy-inspired physical activity playground. The activity room’s design will incorporate the developmental needs of children of all age groups, ensuring that the indoor playground supports children's growth and offers an enhanced experience.
The activity room adopts a nature-inspired fantasy theme, integrating various forest elements and adventure motifs into the design of the playground and indoor play equipment. This creates a relaxed, enchanting, and immersive play environment for the children. The room is divided into five main areas: the Main Play Area, Traffic Simulation Zone, Role-Playing Area, Puzzle and Leisure Zone, and Animal-Themed Block Area.
Main Play Area
The Main Play Area consists of three themed sections: Dream Castle, Forest Cabin, and Elephant Playground. Each theme is designed with varying levels of difficulty and detail to suit children of different age groups. The cabin structure includes soft padding and climbing points, tunnels, slides, and various soft obstacles, along with wall-mounted educational play panels featuring different activities.
Traffic Simulation Zone
The Traffic Simulation Zone features a riding track that naturally connects the various play areas. It includes a parking zone, traffic control area, gas station, and traffic signs at intersections and pedestrian crossings.
Role-Playing Area
The Role-Playing Area includes two themed houses: the Children's Home and the Hospital. These houses are equipped with role-playing items. A small side room serves as a fire station, complete with a reception desk where young firefighters can work. Outside the fire station, there is a fully functional fire truck that children can operate.
Puzzle and Leisure Zone
This area allows children to calm down and play at game tables. The walls are fitted with different types of puzzle games, providing opportunities to improve children's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, while also fostering intellectual development and creativity.
Animal-Themed Block Area
The Animal-Themed Block Area is equipped with a variety of large cartoon-shaped blocks. These blocks are smooth and brightly colored, serving both as toys loved by children and as key elements in creating the overall playful atmosphere of the space.
